Foreign Language

World Language Mission

The mission of the World Language Department is to expose all students to the Spanish language through exploring the diverse cultures of the countries and local communities where Spanish is spoken. We strive to develop a culturally responsive curriculum providing opportunities for students to share their cultural knowledge as they learn to read, write, speak and listen in Spanish.  Courses are offered for Non-Native, Native, and Heritage speakers.  All students are prepared from beginning level Spanish to take and pass the Spanish Regents when they reach Spanish level 3.  AP Spanish Language and Culture courses are also offered to Native and Non-Native Speakers.
