Library Media Center

Welcome to the Library!

Library Services provides virtual and in-person support with developing literacy and research skills for all courses.  Students are able to access E-readers including graphic novels, national databases, magazines, dictionaries, reference/research materials, and culturally sensitive fiction and non-fiction materials as well as learn how to utilize technology to meet the needs of the rigorous, standards-based curriculum for all subject areas.  The library catalog also includes books and resources in multiple languages and about various cultures.  The library also produces a monthly online newsletter highlighting exciting reading materials and other engaging literacy-related resources for young readers and teachers.  Authors and special guest speakers are regularly invited to meet with classes and groups of students.  In addition, after-school activities such as poetry and animation workshops as well as authoring cookbooks based on students’ experiences with the cooking club are offered to engage students in real-world application of their budding literacy skills. In these varied ways, our librarian creates opportunities for students to develop a love for literacy.
